I’m delighted to write about my newfound love – Skin House Beauty and Laser Clinic.
I used to go all the way to Alabang to have my beauty what-nots. Now, it’s just under my nose.
The facility looks ultra chic and young. The lounge has a comfortable ambiance, with magazines and TV to kill time. The medical assistants are also very nice and courteous. But more than anything, the price is really affordable and the service is excellent.

For those that need a little help with the weight department, Skin House also offers the Body Contouring. You can see dramatic results in just one session! Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit. But I did lose a few centimeters in the mid-section, and I did urinate more than usual. It was also a comfortable experience, as the nurse, Ms. Amie used this digital gadget to check if the temperature is just about right for me. The results will be more apparent if paired with mesotherapy that will be performed by the dermatologist. This is only P950/ session.

Like every other girl, I would always have that once a year problem when I need to have my haircut. As much as I want to stick to just one salon, my stylist either goes back to “Korea” or gets transferred elsewhere (hmph!).
I always end up with the wrong hairstyle. How hard can it be I ask? One time, I ask the senior stylist in this Australian Salon that I just want my hair layered in the side, the shortest layer just below my jaw to soften my feature. When my hair was finished, the back of my hair looks like a letter V.

The famous American comedian George Burns once said, “If you ask what is the single most important key to longevity, I would have to say it is avoiding worry, stress and tension. And if you didn’t ask me, I’d still have to say it.” The folk singer Willie Nelson echoed Burns’ basic point when he said that he believed the world’s biggest killer is stress.
While we are constantly looking for skin care and other cosmetic products to make us look more beautiful, we should not forget that the body is an incredible sensitive amalgam of physical and mental processes. Ignore one aspect, and it’s like you’re ignoring all other aspects.
A recent Mental Health News article reported on the link between stress, acne, and hair loss in women. The more stressed a woman is, the more cortisol she tends to produce (which is a leftover chemical that the body secretes in response to the “flight or fight” phenomenon). While our distant ancestors may have needed this cortisol in a survival situation, we modern women by and large don’t. And so, the article explains, overproduction of cortisol means our skin produces more oil, which will make even those who have flawless skin break out.
